We provide vital breaks and short holidays to sick, disabled and abused children in UK

Story

Hi and thanks for visiting my Justgiving page.

In June 2015, I'm going to be taking on the challenge of the St Albans Half Marathon to raise money for an amazing charity, based on our own doorstep.

Happy Days Children's Charity provides day trips, short breaks and cultural experiences to some of the UK's most vulnerable families. Last year, they supported almost 18,000 children with mental and physical disabilities, life limiting conditions, children who have been abused and young carers between the ages of three and seventeen. There are over 1000 vulnerable children in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire who are hoping to be supported by Happy Days this year with a vital respite break, many of these groups and families would otherwise be unable to afford it.

Every penny I raise will go towards helping a disadvantaged local child. An organised group outing to the theatre, the beach or a football match can cost as little as £20 per child, so please give generously. Or if you'd like to get involved and join me in supporting the charity, get in touch!

And on behalf of all the Beds and Herts kids you'll be supporting, thank you!

Best wishes, Carl
