Imagine a world with no walkies in the parks? Our local parks are at risk of being built on and lost forever. So, join us and take a four-legged stand to help protect our parks by taking part in Bark for Our Parks this May.

Story

I'm taking part in Bark For Our Parks with my wonderful dog this May, whilst raising funds to support Fields in Trust. Since 1925, this charity has been seeking to raise the awareness of the value of our parks and green spaces across the UK and seeking to protect them, forever. Most of us don't realise that our precious green spaces are not a statutory service, and that most are owned by local authorities who can (and do) sell them off at any time. In fact 94% of our parks across the UK do not yet benefit from the unique and robust protection that Fields in Trust create. The charity's mission is to ensure we all have a park or green space within a short walk from home - something I think we can all agree should be a basic right and not a "nice to have". Please support us as we make our daily walks do good not only for our health and wellbeing, but for generations of dogs and humans to come. The charity will use your support to champion and protect more parks, forever!

Green spaces are good and do good. They are where we move, breathe, run and play. They help us stay physically and mentally well, bring communities together, combat loneliness and are vital for climate change mitigation. We work to stop the cycle of decline and disappearance many green spaces face.
