Story
As some of you will know, Henry Surtees was a former Carlin driver, having raced with us in Formula BMW in 2007 and briefly in British F3 in 2008. I was lucky enough to be number one mechanic for Henry during his first ever F3 race at Donington that year, and shared his delight when he won on his first attempt in the British F3 National Class.
As I’m sure is the case for everyone that knew and loved Henry, we’re still coming to terms with the fact that he’s no longer with us. Now, in his memory, we’d like to invite you to be part of a charity run on behalf of Headway, a charity set up to help and support people affected by brain injury. All money raised will help fund an arts and craft centre being built in Henry’s name at the Headway Tunbridge Wells and District Centre.
We’d like to see as many people as possible either participating or supporting us at on Saturday 3rd April. The run will take place on Saturday evening after the final track session of the day and is open to all teams from all championships. If you would like to take part in the event, please direct your sponsors to this page. If you would simply like to sponsor us, please make your donations here.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
All donations, however small will be gratefully received and will go to a very worthy cause.
Thanks.
Dan.
