Story
Thursday 16th January 2020 my grandad had a stroke causing him to lose all movement in the right side of his body. He spent 9 weeks in 2 different hospitals and is currently now in a care home. We are still unaware of what the future may hold for him or us as a family but by raising money for Stroke association it will fund the help and support for him and others in the future that have or are dealing with life after a stroke. Recovery can take weeks, months, years or maybe not even at all but we are thankful to still have my grandad with us.
I have entered myself for the "5k resolution run" to raise money for Stroke Association. Those that know me will know i am definitely not a runner.... especially after my dodgy knee injury last year (wish i could say it was a sporting injury) so although 5K doesnt seem much to some it will definitely be a challenge for me. My lovely mum and sister will also be joining me.
