For the second year running I am doing the Great Manc Run for the lovely peeps at Meningitis Research.

I did the run last year in a highly respectable (they tell me) 52 mins 40 seconds. Not good enough. This year im going for 45m. Which means no leisurely swagger like you see in the photo, THIS TIME ITS BLOODY WELL SERIOUS!!!

This really is an important cause. Every day nine people become ill with the diseases, with one in ten people dying. You will probably know someone who has been affected by the disease, so please sponsor as much as you can to this worthy cause...

The money will go to research in prevent meningitis and septicaemia, and to improve survival rates and outcomes, plus raise awareness...
