Street child is an organisation that works to provide education to some of the most vulnerable children living in the most difficult difficult regions of world, currently across 16 countries in Africa and Asia.

The heart of their mission rests on the belief that universal basic education is the biggest and most important step we can take towards the elimination of global poverty.

I believe in Street child’s approach because:

• They build long lasting partnerships with local organisations and communities
• They take a holistic approach to combatting barriers to education: combining it with child protection and livelihood support 
• They work in some of the most difficult environments that most charities don’t venture into

What makes supporting street child all the more important right now is the fact that they are continuing their work in Afghanistan through the extremely worrying unfolding crisis, with a team of 1000 still on the ground working to facilitate education to 40,000 Afghan children.
