Story
Thank you for visiting my just giving page, and for sponsoring me for the Great North Run!
You probably know that I'm not exactly a natural athlete, but decided to give myself a challenge this year by taking part in the Great North Run. To give myself a bit of extra motivation, I decided to run for a charity that means a lot to me - Bliss, the UK charity that cares for premature and sick babies.
One in every nine babies in the UK is born premature or sick, which amounts to over 80,000 babies every year. Bliss is the only national charity dedicated to improving the survival and long-term quality of life for babies born too soon, too small or too sick to cope on their own. Founded 30 years ago, they offer guidance and information at a critical time in families' lives. They fund ground-breaking research and campaign for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born. They also raise awareness of the isues affecting special care babies and fight for essential changes within government and the NHS.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again for sponsoring me, and see you at the finish line!
