There are currently around 900,000 people with dementia in the UK and this is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. Alzheimers Society fund help for today through their support services such as dementia advisers and hope for the future through their research.
This will be a challenging trek against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sahara Desert over 5 days. Starting in Ouarzazate on the edge of the desert, the group will trek through the desert passing small towns, views of Jebel Sarhro, palm trees and small sand dunes on our way. Each day we will trek between 3 6 hours.
Please support me so I can make sure vital research into dementia can continue and no one has to face dementia alone.
