Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In memory of Christopher, who died following a severe neck injury when a rugby scrum collapsed, I will be attempting to complete the gruelling challenge of running 21 miles through the steep and unpredictable terrain of the Hope Valley in the Peak District.

The Red Bull Steeplechase tests 500 runners, both physically and mentally, to race 21 miles across four knockout stages from church steeple to church steeple through the tough hills - only 40 will make it to the final steeple.

After attempting this a couple of years ago off the back of the Great North Run and managing only the first 8 miles, my training began back in January in order to try and make it all the way to the finish line come the 5th October.

Please visit http://steeplechase.redbull.co.uk/ for more information on the event and you can also view my training progress at http://runkeeper.com/user/cmurray86/activity/377214022?&activityList=true
