Story
At a time when Pendleside Hospice needs us most, there's something we can all do to help.
And that is to join me in my Pendle Hill Step Challenge.
There are 3 ways to do it:
- Walk up Pendle Hill
- Walk the equivalent of Pendle Hill in steps - (that's 4000 steps)
- Walk the equivalent of Pendle Hill ON your own steps at home (that's 131 times up and 131 times down)
Just choose whichever works best for you, wherever you are in the world and if you'd rather just donate, that's fine!
When completed, donate £10 to Pendleside Hospice and nominate FIVE people to do the same via Facebook/Twitter or Instagram. Donations should be made via this JustGiving page.
Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge? It's very much like that, just hopefully not as cold or wet!
And here's my confession....I'm 50 on June 28th and while I don't really want to highlight this milestone birthday, I do want to draw attention to the importance of fundraising.
So, I'm taking my own challenge a few (thousand) steps further! From 1st March I committed to walking up Pendle Hill every single day until June 25th ; that's 117 days in total.
On top of that, I'm also committing to walking 50 laps of Pendle on my birthday weekend, June 26th to 27th.
In the hope that by then we'll be out of lockdown, I'd love for you all to join me at some point over the weekend for a celebratory lap, like we did back in 2019.
Pendleside needs our help more than ever right now and my aim for my 50th year is to raise at least £5,000 for this amazing place - hopefully even more!
Thank you for your support
