Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running the Berlin Marathon on Sunday 16th September 2018, and along the way I'd like to raise money for my friend Gemma Hillier-Moses's charity MOVE.
Gemma is married to my friend of over 25 years, Lewis Moses, and she's probably the most inspiring person I've ever met. Back in 2012 she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, a rare condition called Berkett's Lymphoma. After receiving such life-changing news most people would naturally sink into a depression, but not Gemma. Gemma faced up to the challenge and with the support of her friends and family beat this awful disease.
Gemma firmly believes the fact that the exercise she continued to pursue even during treatment went a long way to aid her recovery - she even completed the Great North Run while undergoing treatment! Gemma is a top-class runner and has represented her country, so nothing was going to stop her doing what she loves. This led to her creating her own charity - MOVE - in order to support young people going through cancer treatment. Life goes on after cancer and MOVE want to support young people as much as possible to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle both during and after treatment so they can work towards getting their lives back on track and look forward to a brighter future.
Please join me in supporting MOVE, your donations are very much appreciated!
