Thanks for stopping by my JustGiving page! As you will know, as you’ve got this far, I have WILLINGLY offered to run the London Marathon on behalf of the Scouts.

I know we’re all going through a cost of living crisis currently BUT I need to talk to you about what Scouts does for our young people, 52 weeks a year.

Scouts doesn't just help young people to learn #SkillsForLife, they also helps parents and communities too. Scouting becomes a lifeline for so many families, giving them opportunities that they may not have without the support of this wonderful institution.

Scouting provides “fun, adventure and skills for life, giving young people the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors and take part in a range of creative, community and international activities, interacting with others making new friends, gaining confidence and giving everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential”.

I benefitted greatly from the Scouts association, attending Beavers from the age of 5 all the way to Adventure Scouts (now known as Explorers). I was given opportunities that some can only dream about, learned valuable life skills, made great friends and travelled to some awesome places.

Now it is the turn of my children to experience the world of scouting. One is currently in Cubs and the other in Scouts. My eldest has been given the amazing opportunity of joining 40,000 scouts from around the world to attend the Jamboree in South Korea with them this year! How many other 14 year olds can say that?!

With all that said, I am asking for your help. Scouts has helped millions of people over the years, but there's still thousands of young people on our waiting list. With your help, another young person can enjoy new activities, make new friends and embrace new opportunities. Finance should never be a barrier for young people.

By supporting me, you are supporting almost half a million young people with skills they need for life and supporting an institution to continue to support the next generation. For a couple of quid, you could change a child’s life for the better! Dig deep and support big. Im going to need all the encouragement I can get!!
