Story

As many people that do know me I have always had a dislike for both hair and beards, and have always been extremely regimental on my appearance..... hence I am always clean shaven and smartly dressed.

In the first lockdown I started to grow a beard (UNTIL THE PUBS RE-OPENED)…...this only lasted a few weeks until I shaved it off. At the start of the second lockdown I was challenged by both my wife and son in law to grow both my hair and beard, this I agreed to.

It was at this time that I decided IF I was to do this I could raise some money for a worthy cause....

Now I have two very close friends who are battling cancer right now and are both extremely brave in there fight against this horrible disease.

One is a very special lady battling breast cancer and has had a mastectomy.....this very brave and special person introduced me to my wife many years ago for which I am eternally grateful….the second is close dear friend of mine who is suffering with spinal cancer but even after his treatment always has a big smile on his face, even though his chemotherapy will continue for the foreseeable future...and not forgetting my own brush with cancer last year having 2 tumours removed from my voicebox.

If these two close and dear friends can go through all this pain and treatment then I can surely grow some hair on both my head and face.....So I will continue with my venture until Saturday 27th August 2022 which is the Bank Holiday weekend, and on that night hold a head and beard shave in The Crown, York Street, Ramsgate with all proceeds going to the assigned charity...….A bucket will also be available in the pub for donations (UPON RE-OPENING) and an auction will also be held on the night, all proceeds collected will go to this charity as well.....

Also I will be donating my hair to Cancer Research so that it can be made into a wig and help someone who needs one.

IF I can do this not just for my friends but also for ALL people suffering with cancer then you can help me by raising as much money as possible for this charity.....

Thank You
