Story
As you all know we lost our little boy over two years ago now and this prompted me undertake the Great Kent Ride in 2008 and on our first fund raising event we managed to raise a staggering £15,000. The majority of this went to The Rare Breeds Farm at Woodchurch Kent and with them we decided that the money should be used to build an under fives play area. This has now been open for just over a year and is something that we are very proud of and we know is bringing alot of joy to so many little ones.
This year my cycling team has grown and we have a total of 8 people wanting to raise money again for The Rare Breeds Centre, which is part of the Canterbury Oast Trust. http://www.rarebreeds.org.uk/ . This was one of Sammy's favourite places to visit and for us a very special place and even more so now that "Sammy's Play Pen" is now open and bringing joy to other little ones.
We will be riding a mix of 65 and 35 mile routes around kent. Matthew, Den and myself will be pushing ourselves to ride the longer route while the rest of the team will be doing the 35 miles.
Please take the time to sponsor us regardless how lagre or how small it will all help and all proceeds will be going to a fantastic organisation. Also dont forget to claim the gift aid.
