Story
Hi everyone, in October I have taken on the challenge to raise funds for the St Elizabeth Hospice. I dont do running (too monotonous for my liking) or cycling (too much maintenance of equipment) or swimming (too wet) lol So I have decided to do a Firewalk which I am told involves walking a short distance over some mildy warm stones. In reality it is the ultimate challenge, walking between 15-20ft over hot coals at 550 degrees Celsius! This will definately test the mind-over-matter theory and maybe keep me quiet for a few minutes whilst I concentrate on the task ahead of me. You are welcome to come and watch this event which is being held at Greshams Sports and Social Club Tuddenham Road Ipswich on the 30th October. All funds raised go directly to the Hospice to enable them to continue with their fantastic work, helping people at a time in their lives when they feel overwhelmed and distressed by the effects of a terminal illness. The support given is not only for the patient but also for their families.
All donations are welcome however small .
