Thank you for taking to time to visit my JustGiving page. Most of you will know my sister Claire. Unfortunately, Claire was taken from us suddenly because of a brain haemorrhage caused by a lifelong hereditary condition that Claire suffered from called Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). This causes cysts to grow in the kidneys and liver. It can cause dangerously high blood pressure, pain and chronic aches, kidney failure, complications with other organs, brain haemorrhages. There is sadly no cure. I am raising money for PKD charity who do research to find treatments and hopefully a cure, offer support to sufferers and their friends and family. Claire could not be saved. Most of Claire's maternal side of the family suffer from the condition. Claire also has a 3 year old daughter who has a 50% chance of developing PKD. Let's cure Claire's family. Raising money will never bring my sister back but it will help other sufferers. The more we raise, the more likely we are to one day find a cure. Claire would be looking down, smiling, thankful that even such a sad event can produce such positive actions. She was always very selfless and always wanted to help others and make them smile. Please help me raise money and make Claire proud. Thank you.
