Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We volunteer for a UK charity who do work with cats in Ibiza called Care4Cats - http://www.care4cats.eu/ who do trap, neuter and return work for cats in Ibiza. There is a real issue with large numbers of feral cats over there and the charity receives no Government funding, all from donations and fundraising.

Twice a year, volunteer teams from the UK come out to do week long trapping trips and we have to hire vans which is both costly and has limitations due hire guidelines.

Over the past few years, we have recruited residents on the island who are able to do year round trapping but they have to do this in their own cars - this menas we can only do one or two at a time. If we had our van van, it would allow us to trap more cats, more regularly and ultimatley help more cats on the island..!!

We don't need a new van - a Berlingo or something similar that won't need much maintenance will allow us to do more work.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give what you can and give more cats in Ibiza the chance of a happy life...

Care4Cats  was formed in 1999 to humanely address the growth of feral cat populations in ibiza, balearics and to encourage the neutering of cats generally. Often, un-neutered domestic cats become stray cats and start feral colonies, so education can be a key way of preventing future feral cats. we operate a policy of trap/neuter/return - the most humane and effective method to reduce feral cat populations.
