Walk for Water is a challenge to walk and raise money for those who do not have access to water. Please sponsor us as we walk to help those in need. We will be raising money for people like Abdella. Abdella is 23 and has been walking for water daily since he was 10 or 11 years old. Abdella lives in Afar, Ethiopia - one of the hottest places on earth. Like hundreds of people in the area, he spends most of every day getting water for his family. With a water point nearer his home, Abdella's family would no longer have to worry about getting enough to stay alive. 

As a school community, we are going to try to walk the distance from the Angel of the North to Afar in Ethiopia, which equals 5,648.7 miles (11928576 steps). We challenge all students, teachers, staff and families to get out walking during lent. We would love everyone to get out into their street, their garden or the local park and complete as many steps as possible. We will keep a school steps total, where individuals can upload the steps that they have completed every time they have been out for a walk, to see how their contribution has helped the cause.
