Story
After the success of the Oxford Half Marathon in October I totally gave up running, but have since been persuaded to sign up for the Oxford Town & Gown 10k on 15th May (half the distance!). I thought that'll be no problem - I've got this in the bag! But, as my training is slowly progressing, I've realised something that seems very obvious now - that long distance running is harder to get back into after giving it up for the winter months than I anticipated!! I'm not as fast and I'm struggling to finish any of my training runs without feeling absolutely shattered, so training has become just as tough as it was for the Half Marathon last year. Basically, I'm behind on training and psychologically, I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to train in the first place. Fingers crossed for no sciatica this time round too!! Anyway, sob story over. The long and short of it is please sponsor me for this wonderful charity. I still haven't managed to like running yet, so this is still a big challenge for me!
