We provide employment, support and care to our Forces and disadvantaged communities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Royal British Legion Industries provides employment, support and care to the Armed Forces Community and those disadvantaged by disability, a health condition or social welfare need.

The MAA was formed in 2012 to manage and organise Monthly and Quarterley Lunch Parties, including entertainment, for the enjoyment and respite of Dementia sufferers and their Carers and Past Carers.

Social activities such as coach outings are mainly organised, for those who attend tea and lunch parties, as funds permit.

The Maidstone branch of the Alzheimers Society had offered these services for 15 years but a change of policy meant that branches were disbanded and respite activities were not encouraged.

The core of the Branch committee decided that the only way to continue these very popular tea parties and outings etc was to form a new Association ,to be known as the MAIDSTONE ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION (MAA), catering solely for these activities.

Tea parties are held on the last Wednesday of every month at the Holy Family Church Hall, Longshaw Rd, Parkwood ME15 9PS, at 2.0pm. Contact Denise on 01622 749539
