Story

Thursday, 7th July… Cottesmore's Captain (Iain McKay), Director of Golf (Steve Grouwstra), and Vice Captain (Alan Greig) will be attempting to take on the Captain’s 100 holes in a day challenge in aid of the Captain’s Charity; The QEII School (for children with significant learning needs).

And no - we’re not using buggies!

Sunrise is 4.55am… so we’ll be ready to go at 4.30am and will start as soon as it’s light enough to go. We're not stopping for lunch - We’ll eat and drink as we go.

We're investing in Danish Endurance socks (ordered!) and plenty of  vaseline!

Hoping for lots of support on the day - if you want to caddy for a round or two and help us in setting the pace then you can sign up in the pro-shop.

We’ll be keeping live scores - and at least posting our scorecards for each round on various Social Media channels.

Sponsorship ideas to help keep us motivated:

  • Just donate!

  • Donate per birdie

  • Donate per lost ball

  • Donate per blister

Our feet hurt already at the thought of this one… please support as we take on this monster challenge in aid of this worthy cause. This is the equivalent of playing five and a half rounds of golf which would at normal pace take around 21 hours ...and we only have 15 hours daylight to do it in!

Do please donate now - Thank you!
