Story
The NSPCC is the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. I am taking part in the Captain Tom 100 challenge to raise vital funds so that the NSPCC can continue to protect children at risk and help children who've been abused to rebuild their lives.
Starting on Sunday 2 May, I will be beginning a challenge to help raise vital funds for the NSPCC. For my challenge I will meditate for 100 minutes, every day, for 10 days. My challenge will begin on Sunday 2 May and run through to Tuesday 11 May.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal and inspiring millions to donate to the cause. I will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom my way and help my chosen charity.
