Fundraising for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation
On the 10th of February, I will be cycling 500 miles in 48 hours from Edinburgh to Cardiff in aid of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, supporting its fantastic work in combating Motor Neurone Disease. We will be cycling non-stop, day and night, through rain, snow, and darkness arriving at the Principality Stadium ahead of the Six Nations clash between Scotland and Wales to present the match ball.
I am Davy Zyw, and in 2018 was diagnosed with MND for which there is currently no cure. All the money we raise will go into meaningful research to develop treatments and hopefully find a cure. This cycle is hard enough to do for a fully fit person, let alone someone with MND.
I will be kept in good company on this odyssey by my brothers Sorley and Felix, and my old pal Dan Elswood. We will be supported by my incredible stepdad Sandy who will be vital in helping the boys push the distance and keep us fuelled on macaroni pies.
Along with 100 other riders, including the likes of Mark Beaumont, Shane Williams, and Chris Hoy, we will be riding through the Scottish Borders, heading south past the Yorkshire Dales, then across to Wales to Aberystwyth, before finishing in the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Help us raise at least £1 per mile that we ride on the long road to Wales, please show your support by donating and sharing this page and join us in giving MND a kick in the nuts — let’s raise some serious money!
Captain over and out
