Story
Here's the deal, y'all.
I've taken up a lot of interests. I've gotten a couple degrees. A hundred and a half different career possibilities have occurred to me since middle school. Nothing -and I mean NOTHING - comes close to graphic design for me.
Simply put, pursuing this career has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and JCCC has been a huge part of that. The growth I've undergone as a designer wouldn't have been possible without the guidance and encouragement of the faculty. Words can't express how grateful I am.
Since I'll be graduating in May, I will also be participating in the graduating portfolio showcase - Pathfinder. Each participating student is asked to raise $200 toward the overall goal for this virtual event. I'll be showcasing my portfolio and discussing my work and strengths with potential employers. These conversations have historically lead to jobs for past students, and I hope that will be the case for me.
In a typical year, our club would be having various fundraising events on campus. Unfortunately, COVID precautions prevent us from doing that because the campus is closed to most student activities. That's why we're using crowdfunding as our main fundraiser this year. I hope you will join me in raising money for this event. It's crucial for paying for all the portfolio expenses and for making the event a success.
If you've read through all of this, thank you. Your encouragement keeps me going, and I appreciate you so much.
