Story

500km Challenge in 5 Weeks!

The Canning's are running, cycling, walking and swimming 500km from Haslemere to Newcastle to raise money for the beautiful Amelie who lives in Newcastle with her parents Vinny & Ros (Duncan's very close friends from Uni) who desperately needs a piece of specialist kit to improve her health, wellbeing and all round happiness.

Amelie is 6yrs old and was born with Syndrome Without a Name (SWAN) and is unable to stand unaided, walk or talk and she also has visual impairment and hearing loss in one ear!

Amelie is such a happy little girl who loves to be on the move but needs a little help to achieve this. Amelie has benfitted from the loan of an INNOWALK, an amazing piece of kit which simulates walking and has loads of benefits for Amelie's health and before it had to be returned she was walking for over an hour and her PB is a massive 8km!

Unfortunately the Innowalk has now been returned, so now Amelie's family, friends and the community are fundraising to raise £28,000 to buy Amelie her very own Innowalk which will last her whole life, keep her moving and fingers crossed, may even help towards the goal of allowing Amelie to walk unaided.
