Story
Hi,
Thankyou for visiting my page.
On Sunday 13th April, I will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon. I will be running 26.2 miles for a charity called Crohns and Colitis UK.
I am running the London Marathon for my Mum who suffers from Crohns disease and has done since a teenager. Crohns disease is a type of bowel condition which has a devastating impact on every area of life and currently has no cure. Around 240,000 people across the UK have Crohns and Colitis and more than half are diagnosed when young.
This charity is extremely close to my heart as I have seen my mum go through alot of pain and discomfort due to the many operations she has had to have to make her life easier.
Many of you who know me will know that I am definitely not a 'natural runner'. I have trained every day since getting my place in November to make sure that I am capable of running and finishing the Marathon.
Lastly, if you are around on the 13th April, please come down and support me, ill make sure to give you a wave as I run past!
Thankyou very much for all that is given, no matter how big or small every penny counts!
Love Candi x x

Update:
Many thanks for the brilliant support my family, friends, work colleagues and total strangers gave me on the day! I had an amazing experience and would 100% do it again, despite the pain I was in during and after, it was well worth it! I finished in a time of 5 hours 47 minutes, not bad for someone who didn't do ANYTHING 6 months ago.
Thankyou again xxx
