Story

As a physically demanding event, which allows you to take in some wonderful scenery as well as spending time with close friends, the 3 Peaks Challenge must be one of the most rewarding. This involves teams of people climbing the highest mountains in , and , respectively Ben Nevis, Sca Fell Pike and Snowdon . Challenging enough, but this all needs to be completed within 24 hours!

This is why we decided to take up this challenge, and formed the "Summit Seekers". Training has gone well, but the final, and highest, hurdle is now looming. The hike will take place on the 22-23 June (hopefully not 22-24th!), under the watchful eye of the Fire Brigade.

Due to the kind help received by relatives of some of the team members, we have decided to complete this task on behalf of the Iain Rennie Hospice, a specialist charity offering palliative nursing care at home. The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home relies heavily on charitable donations, so anything you can afford would be very much appreciated.

With a mixture of excitement and apprehension, the team is looking forward to the challenge. Please help me to make it a successful one, both for myself and the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.
