Story
A team of eight colleagues from Canada Life Asset Management and Sanderson Weatherall are walking the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Hadrian’s Wall trail is 84 miles long and runs from Bowness on Solway on the west coast to Wallsend, to the east of Newcastle. We will be tackling the walk over five days, covering distances of up to 24 miles a day. We plan to leave Bowness on Solway on 12th June and arrive at our destination on 16th June.
We will be donating all money raised to the UNICEF Ukraine Appeal who are doing amazing work supporting local initiatives on the ground.
(Team members are: Iga Gelder, Andrew MacLaren and Richard Nichol from Canada Life; Nina Bradley-Brown, Matthew Lawrence, Robert Walczak, Lee Bailey and Gabriel Forbes from Sanderson Weatherall)
More about how UNICEF are helping
Millions of children and families are in immediate danger as war continues to escalate in Ukraine.
7.5 million children have been deeply affected by the ongoing conflict. Homes, schools, water supplies and hospitals have been damaged or destroyed. Children have been separated from their families, and hundreds of thousands of people have been left without clean water, food or electricity. Explosives are a daily threat to children’s lives.
We are working around the clock in Ukraine and at the borders of neighbouring countries, providing access to clean water, health care services and other critical support.
With your kind support, we can help more children and families affected by this crisis.
