Story
Marie Curie is magical charity providing strength, support and light during unimaginably painful and cruel end of life chapters. They provide FREE palliative care to those with terminal illnesses and provide information and support for their families.
My family and I have welcomed Marie Curie a number of times in recent years. Without them I dread to think how we’d have made it through the tough days...
The nurses and hospices have worked tirelessly throughout the global pandemic but despite this, they have lost over £3million in charity funding this year.
Please join me in showing your support as I take on the 100km Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge, for which i have set myself a personal time challenge to complete in less than 16 hours. Distance running is not something that comes naturally to me, I’ve spent 6 intense months training for this event but I know that every moment of agony endured in training, and to come on race day, pales in the knowledge that together we will ease the suffering of many in our community.
Being totally reliant on donations, they need volunteers like myself, to ensure they can continue to provide FREE palliative nursing care and assist families at the end of a loved one's life. Every penny raised will go towards nursing and hospice care throughout Sherborne and Dorset. Care that everyone in the UK deserves access to.
If you cannot donate today you can still show your support; please share this link and give the Marie Curie Sherborne Facebook group a like 👍 their work directly impacts our community and we are so incredibly lucky to have them.
Spread love and kindness; share your stories with the Marie Curie Facebook group and the wider community to give light and insight to those in the dark.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
