Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be running the London Marathon 2015 on Sunday 26th April for CLIC Sargent, who support children with cancer.
I was inspired to fundraise for this great cause after witnessing the “amazing” help it provided to my best friends brother, Alastair Day. He tragically died from mouth cancer in 2010, just 20 years old.
Watching Kat and her family go through the worst time in their lives was heartbreaking and I have always wanted to give something back to this amazing charity and continue the fundraising. The CLIC Sargent nurses were there from diagnosis until the very end, offering support and regular visits to both the hospital and their family home. Such amazing people!
To put things in perspective, just £100 could pay for nearly four hours of a CLIC Sargent Nurse's time, helping to maximise the amount of time these children with cancer can safely spend at home. With your help we can give more nurses the opportunity to help families through these difficult times.
