I am proud of being involved with Macmillan Cancer Support for over 40
years.  During this time I have seen what an enormous difference Macmillan nurses make to the lives of people living with cancer.

One in two of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime.  This frightening statistic demonstrates the urgent need for many more Macmillan nurses.

Please help me to raise money to ensure every cancer patient has the opportunity of being supported by a Macmillan nurse.

Macmillan Charity Raceday is a fundraising collaboration between York Racecourse and Macmillan Cancer Support. The day of professional racing and fundraising has been held annually since 1971, raising more than £7 million in total for Macmillan and other charitable causes. 

For the last two years the weekend has raised £500,000 per year. As the demand for Macmillan's services continues to grow we hope to raise even more this year.
