Story
Flash, Cosmic and I were going to be covering at least 70 miles under saddle over 70 days between 19th June and 28th August with the aim of raising a minimum of £70 for these charities. By 25th June, Flash, Cosmic and I had clocked up 18 miles together. A nasty fall, however, resulted in a fractured lumbar vertebra and has me firmly grounded until the end of August at the earliest and probably longer. Plan B is to *lead them* (with the help of Eric, especially to begin with) the remaining 52 miles around the local lanes and bridleways by the end of August.
Without my horses I would have struggled to deal with this injury as well as an earlier back injury three years ago. They are the motivation to keep active, maintain mobility and regain strength. The psychological side of injury and rehab is as major as the physical aspects, making this focus important to me. I am immensely grateful to my wonderful horses for their constancy and generous spirits. Please donate what you can and help me to change the lives of humans, horses and ponies. Thank you!
