We help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them

Story

So when my cousin asked me to do a triathlon with him, it being his first and my third - I said sure! So we signed up, starting a bit of light training we started to get a bit more serious however when my cousin (14 years) was diagnosed with osteosacroma cancer late last year the training took on a new meaning.  Harry has spent the last 6 months in and out of hospital receiving treatment and a couple of months ago had to have his leg amputated.  Harry is still in treatment, his bravery and determination means that he is responding well to treatment and is active in his recovery.  However his life has been changed forever - we have been fundraising to buy him a prosthetic limb but I would like to do this Triathlon to raise money for CLIC Sargent as they have made a profound difference to the treatment that Harry and his family have received.

So my training - I cycle to work everyday (8 miles there and 8 miles back) even through winter, I swim and run a couple of times a week - mostly, sometimes, I try too! but after Pete's (training partner/cousin) decided we cycle to stubbers at 5am last saturday to practice swimming in our wetsuits in open waters the whole program took on a new twist - lets just say its not going to be quite the walk in the park I had thought it might be.  My fear, dread, panic, terror has set in and I am scared.  6600 people, cold water, wet suit, splashing and fighting to the front.... ok Triathlons are not quite the same in the UK as they are in Tobago.... So here goes - I hope that you can find some pennies to sponsor me with to spur me on and support Clic to continue their amazing work - THANK YOU
