Story

I am planning to run 100km between 1 December 2020 - 12 December 2020. I will be running from my flat in Clapham South to different pubs across London every day. The pubs I have chosen are as close as possible to the lyrics in the Christmas carol 12 Days of Christmas.

The pubs are:
1 December: The Pear Tree, Fulham
2 December: The Dove, Hammersmith

3 December: The Hen & Chickens Theatre Pub, Highbury
4 December: The Blackbird, Earls Court
5 December: The Ring, Southbank
6 December: The Goose, Fulham
7 December: The Swan, Hyde Park
8 December: English Maid, Vauxhall
9 December: Nearest pub to the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden!
10 December: Nearest pub to the House of Lords, Parliament Square
11 December: The Crusting Pipe, Covent Garden
12 December: Drum & Monkey, Aldgate

My lovely godmother Pip set up Footsteps Foundation to help her daughter Minty who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy just after birth. Pip was told that Minty was never going to be able to walk. In order that she could get the intensive physio that Minty needed, Pip spent every other month in Poland for two years with Minty. She then brought over the team from Poland and set up a 'physio' gym at home in order for Minty to continue her treatment on a daily basis. Minty defied all odds and is now very independent and mobile with thanks to the physiotherapy treatment that Pip sourced for her.

After her experience with Minty, Pip wanted others to be able to access the same physiotherapy treatment that had helped Minty. Pip set up the Footsteps Foundation in 2008, which meant that Pip and the team could help more children with severe disabilities become more mobile and independent.

Footsteps Foundation needs your help to continue their vital work, helping disabled children to get stronger and more confident. Footsteps have improved the lives of hundreds of disabled children, helping them to reach their full potential through their life-changing physiotherapy and we are now coming together to keep this brilliant service going.

Please donate generously and contact me if you would like to participate in the fundraising effort or come and join me on any leg of the 12 days of Christmas pub run!

I will be doing a daily picture update as evidence :)
