Story
As I'm getting older I've opened my eyes and am realising how valuable life actually is, sadly though life is too short.
The phrase 'life is too short' is used on a day-to-day basis, but it hit hard when being told a close family friend, Dave Mitchell, was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He is a man who is always enthusiastic, hard working and determined. A gentleman who will give anyone the time of day. I have known Dave since i was a young teenager, and first met him whilst helping Dave and my Dad clean storage rooms at the top of the shop in which they both worked.
He has fought this cancer for many years after being told he had 6-12 months to live when first being diagnosed, the dignity and endurance he has shown over the last few years is a testament to his indomitable spirit. His will to survive this disease echoes how determined and how much of a fighter he is.
Today, Dave is still fighting even though it is becoming more and more difficult. My wish is to complete these events to raise awareness amongst my peers, working environment and across family groups to the subject of Prostate Cancer and of course to raise as much money as possible in respect to help fund the fight against this terrible disease.
I am determined to help towards funding further research if i can reach or even surpass my fundraising goal, I hope that this money can help towards this research and one day enable us to beat Prostate Cancer.
Even the smallest Donations are massively appreciated.
Thank You,
Cameron
