Story
Thank you for taking the time to check out our fundraising page and for considering donating to No Stomach For Cancer! (NSFC)
Ten years years ago, due to the CDH1 gene disorder, I was faced with the decision to have my entire stomach removed to prevent the extremely high probability of developing stomach cancer due to this disorder. Even though no previous test had shown signs of stomach cancer, I took the preventative route and had a total gastrectomy. (They took out the entire thing!) It was only after my stomach was taken out and reviewed that stomach cancer was found. The entire process was a physical and emotional roller coaster and thats where the No Stomach For Cancer organization stepped in. The resources, knowledge and support that they gave myself and my family truly made what seemed like an impossible journey possible. They continue to provide similar support to families all over the world as well as continuing the fight against stomach cancer.
My co-host for this fundraiser is Dylan Davison who also had his stomach completely removed due to CDH1.
Dylan and I will be running the 2020 Charleston Marathon to raise money for No Stomach For Cancer, so that the organization can continue to provide amazing support, just like we received. We have a friendly competition (We can't let him win!!) of who can raise more funds, with all proceeds going to NSFC. We are asking for donations of $26.2 (for the 26.2 miles we will be running) but any donations large and small are accepted.
We truly appreciate your time and donation.
Thank you,
Camden and Dylan
