We raise awareness and funds to combat the causes of homelessness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We have a goal to finish re-building homes in Thangpalkot1 Nepal - we've re-built 26 already but there are 55 still to go, just in this one village. We at the Cambridge studio want to help.

Closer to the time we will be given a family to sponsor and be able to learn about their experience in the earthquake and their current living situation.

Every penny we raise will go directly to building materials where the families will build themselves. We will be given photos to see how they are getting on and can keep you updated with their story.

About the charity

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
