Story
Cambridge Day Nursery opened its doors in 1978 and has been offering childcare ever since. To celebrate the nurseries birthday whilst working in partnership with AG First Aid, we are holding a 40 hour marathon doing CPR.
The nursery children will kick the event off at 8am on 6th April and the staff will then take over going throughout the night and on to Sunday.
Lifesaving skills are very important to us, we were the first nursery in Cambridge to be awarded Millie's Mark. Meaning that we have a 100% first aid team. Ofsted still do not require every staff member to be first aid trained, this needs to change. It is not only our staff that are trained twice throughout the year we offer first aid training for our parents. Our Pre-School who leave us for school in September undertake Flat Stan training, so they leave us ready for school and ready to save a life.
Funds that are raised will be donated to British Heart Foundation and Millie's Trust. Please help us raise our gaol, feel free to pop by the nursery during the weekend.
Finally, we are waiting to hear whether or not this would be a world record.
First Aid skills can save life's.
