As you will all probably know (as I have been known to mention it) I only have one kidney, probably since birth. I’m extraordinarily lucky for this to have had no material impact on my life so far, but others like me have had it much tougher!

3.5 million people in the UK have kidney disease and every minute last year, Kidney Research UK spent £12.25 on research. Their life-saving work prevents people like me from reaching kidney failure by spotting the disease early, halting disease progression and repairing kidney damage.
