We fund groundbreaking research to cure paralysis.

Story

Dear All,

For those of you who don't know, I am running the London Marathon this year for Spinal Research. The reason I have chosen Spinal Research is because of my great friend Laurie, who whilst travelling around the world, had a diving accident and broke his neck at C7 which means he is paralysed from the chest down and confined to a wheelchair.

Laurie, and his girlfriend Sue, now live together and the strength and courage shown by them both is truly inspirational.

I would be most grateful if you would be kind enough to sponsor me online, as it is the most efficient way for me to raise funds for my chosen charity and, if you are a UK taxpayer, your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.

Myself, Sue & Laurie and many others will really appreciate any donation you make. Spinal Research are continuing great research into the cure for paralysis, to help people like Laurie one day lead a normal life and maybe even walk.

I completed the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 9th March and ran it in 1hr 57mins, I must say I was delighted with the time and I am told that I am right on track!...just gotta keep on running. Sue and Al joined me and both did cracking times too, it was great to have their support and many thanks to Kate whose speedy pace and encouragement I could not have done without!

Many, many thanks. Camilla xx
