The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Please, everybody read, like and share. Thank you.
I have organised a sponsored walk to raise awareness for men's mental health and will actually be looking to raise money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) which is a rising charity that supports men's mental health and suicide awareness.
On Friday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August myself and 3 other men will be setting off from Coalville Clock Tower and heading to Leicester Tigers Ground (Welford Road, Leicester), then continuing onto the home of the English Rugby.... Twickenham. The walk totals to 131 miles, equating to 33 miles a day over 4 days.
On a personal note I've been the lowest of a low a few times in the past few years and my daughter, parents, sisters and close friends have dragged me through it but it wasn't nice. I have friends who have also experienced the same; so this is my way of saying thank you and trying to provide the help for those who don't have the luxury of having so many people around them to help them get through it.
I have set up a page on Facebook: '2020 CALM walk' should you wish to follow our progress.
Thank you for reading.
