Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I am just an ordinary bloke who at turning 50 years old decided to try and run a marathon. The subsequent three years have taken me on an incredible journey where I have been lucky enough to be able to test my physical and mental limits with a host of crazy running adventures, which have included 100 mile races: down the Cotswold way, over the French, Swiss and Italian Alps, up the Pennine way, around the most westerly and southerly part of the UK as well as a host of other ultra races in the UK and Europe.

By taking on this mamoth challenge I wanted to prove to people that it is never too late to do anything if you want it enough.  I also want to raise money and awareness for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) as I completely endorse their aim to encourage people to talk about mental health and support people who are suffering mental ill health with their aim to reduce male suicide.

I have now completed the SWCP in a record time of 11 days 8 hours and 15 minutes, initially my target was to raise £6,300 which equates to £10 per mile, but any pound over this will be brilliant and make a huge difference in helping to save lives.  So please dig deep and ask your friends to donate and maybe we can save some lives and prevent people from suffering in silence.
