Story
Mental health has been apparent in the UK for a while now but in light of recent events, we've taken the decision to start raising awareness on the issue.
As I'm sure many of you are aware, on Monday 3rd June our champ Connor Law tragically passed away. Connor was always the brightest smile in any room and he will be the brightest star in the sky forever more. His passing has broken the hearts of all that ever had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed dearly. Because of that, we have taken the decision to run the Scottish Half Marathon in Connors memory. Anyone that knew Connor, knew that he always put 100% into his training and fights, the majority of us have never ran a distance race (and in Tizer's case, never ran at all) so we will be drawing inspiration from some of Connor's determination in order to train for this.
Another reason behind our decision is that it is time to draw an end to this stigma that is mental health and more specifically Mens Mental Health. If by running this race we can help at least one young man realise that it's okay not to be okay, then we will have saved one life.
This ones for you champ, rest in peace, love you forever. X
