Hello all, this is a last minute appeal to raise funds for The HALO Trust. HALO clears land mines in some of the most deprived places in the world. War itself is awful, but the sad thing is that once conflict has ended, normal people can't simply go home because they run the risk of horrifying injury. HALO provides employment for over 7,000 people who otherwise would be reliant on subsistence farming to feed their families. It is often the case that once HALO provides training, deminers clear mines from their own land, which is about as direct an impact as you could wish for.

I am proud to work for an organisation which does such important work and is so highly respected. I would be very chuffed if I could raise £1,000 before the end of the month! Thanks in advance for your support...
