Being born with bilateral cleft lip and palate my upbringing was far from ordinary. Fortunately, the NHS covers the necessary procedures to change a child's life in the UK such as myself. However this is not the case in other countries around the world. Operation Smile is a lifeline for those children. They provide a team of professionals and experts, who have to date healed over 300,000 patients. It costs as little as £150 and takes just 45 minutes to provide this life-changing surgery.
