Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After successfully running the Great West Run a few years ago I have decided that a new challenge is in order. So on the 2nd of July I am taking the plunge (pun definately intended) and doing the Great London Swim.
This year I am swimming for Macmillan Cancer Support, for two reasons really, the first is I am swimming with my colleague Aoife as part of Team North London - we felt it was time to lead by example and do some fundraising of our own. Secondly I am swimming in memory of my grandparents, Margaret and Peter Mackay. Margaret sadly lost her battle to overian cancer and was brilliantly supported by the Macmillan nurses, who were also an amazing help to Peter who was understandably devasted by the loss of his wife. Sadly Peter passed away over Christmas 2010 peacefully in his sleep.
So please dig deep and help Macmillan Cancer support cary on the fantastic work they do helping those people living with cancer.
