I am using this event as a platform to fundraise for Alzheimer Scotland. In 2018 I lost my grandad to Alzheimer's, and I have seen first hand not only the impact it has on the individual but also there loved ones. Alzheimer Scotland is a charity with the goal that nobody faces dementia alone "We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research."

By donating you are helping towards: 

• Welcoming people with dementia, their carers and families into Dementia Resource Centres to meet with staff, attend a group session or meet people in similar circumstances and build new friendships.
• Engage with the local community to build a more extensive understanding of dementia through the Dementia Friends programme
• Commit to funding research to prevent, care and cure dementia.
