Story
I feel like Great Ormond Street Hospital needs no introduction, but here it is: "Every day more than 600 children from across the UK arrive at GOSH. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses and conditions, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give unwell children the best chance to fulfil their potential."
My daughter was referred to GOSH at just 2 weeks old and is under their care for a complex urology matter, including an imminent second surgery to resolve the issue.
I am running the Berlin Marathon in September 2023 and I want to raise as much as possible for the hospital that provides such excellent care for so many children, including my daughter.
There will be many of you that will remember that, as recent as 2 years ago, I couldn't run a bath - never mind contemplate running a marathon. I am focused on my training and, whilst the marathon isn't until September, your generous donations will motivate me while my coach continues to stretch my understanding of what I am capable of.
