I have been involved in 1st Lenzie Company, The Boys' Brigade since I was 6 years old. Having been an officer since 2014, I have seen the direct impact that funds have on the young people who attend BB, and their families too. 

I have not participated in a race or run for some time now, so I am picking back up my running shoes to raise vital funds to support the work of 1st Lenzie BB. 

The BB in Lenzie is often described as a family - this is due to the incredible bonds of friendship that are created at BB. I am thankful for my time in BB, as a young person, and as an Officer. One of my biggest inspirations at BB was Ken Roberts, our previous Company Captain. Ken told stories about history, BB and also about how he ran while he was a teacher in Kirkintilloch High School. It also made me think that one way I could help the Company was to use the inspiration still of Mr Roberts and run for BB. 

Please help me in raising funds for our young people to experience 'life to the full' - just like I had the opportunity to do.
