Claude and his late wife had utilized Turning Point services over the years as needed. They had received rental assistance, followed by an insurance referral and prescription assistance when his wife, Betty, became ill and could no longer stay employed. Betty and Claude visited the food pantry regularly and received school supplies for their young son. After the loss of his wife, Claude became depressed and was referred by TP to mental health counseling and was also connected to substance abuse treatment. Claude and his 15-year-old son reached out to be Christmas donors this year for a Bath family. This is the year that Claude recognized just how far he and his son had come. Claude shared that "With the support of family, friends, and the Bath Pantry, they have worked hard to overcome financial and personal struggles. While they will never be over the great loss of Betty, Christmas was a little brighter this year because they were able to help others as they were helped in past years.
